Dismissal of school will be at 1.05pm. Please gather to the Indoor Sports Hall by 1.30pm. The Sports Fiesta will start at 2pm.
At 4.45pm, there is a torch relay and the Sports Fiesta has to stop. Secondary 4 volleyball players are to station themselves at the foyer to cheer...

Please wear your school uniform when you report to school in the morning.

Training Details

Starting from now on,

Training will be reduced from the originally 3 days per week (Tuesday, Thursday & Wednesday), to 2 days per week (Tuesday & Friday)... Please take note of the change...

*If on any occasion that there is any changes or additional training dates, you will be informed.

All the best for your studies and for upcoming zonals and nationals competition!
And i suggest you guys set a goal for yourself, on what you really wanna achieve in 2009.
Do the school, your daddy mommy, and yourself proud! (:

For the C boys, do treasure your final competition of your C division volleyball journey. Most of you only get to play in C division once. It's always the few crucial points or mistakes which caused the greatest disappointment. So don't leave any regrets alright?

And for the B boys, this is the only year after the 7 years establishment of VSVB that almost all B division players are sec 4s. We all want a memorable and perfect ending for our 4, or rather 5 years in VSVB don't we? Hahaha.

Play your best and fear nothing.
I know you guys can do it!

Reminder

For the Sec 1s, those that haven't return both the jerseys to the respective seniors, please bring it along to Pioneer Junior College on 29 December.

For the Sec 2s, please bring along your jerseys if you have taken them back from the Sec 1s to Pioneer Junior College on 29 December.

For the Sec 3s, please bring along both your jerseys to Pioneer Junior College on 29 December.

Chalet Updates!

Please bring along at least 3 VS based shirt/jersey for the chalet as we'll be having 2 days of morning run and training on tuesday afternoon.

For those who have not given me their consent forms, please do so tmr with the $10.

We'll meet outside VS school gate at 1530 Hrs on 21st December, before heading to the chalet.

There will be a chalet for you guys! Details are as followed:

Venue: Goldkist Beach Resort (around East Coast area)

Please pay $10 each to Yong Siang for those who are going.
There may be a bbq depending on the budget.

And confirm your attendance with me as soon as possible.

Consent form will be given to you guys as soon as possible. It's compulsory to have your parent's consent for you to go for the chalet. Thanks!

New Rule?

While reading through the Rules and Regulations of this VAS Under-16 tournament, I came across this rule which doesn't seem familiar to me after participating in it thrice.

Rule 6.3.9: All players are to submit their student’s pass to the official-in-charge for prove of eligibility before every match they are playing.

So just in case, do bring along your identity card for the match tomorrow.

Yup, VSVB group is created on both Friendster and Facebook!
So please join them as soon as possible guys!
You can click on the tabs 'Facebook' and 'Friendster' on the banner to link to those pages.
These groups are set up hoping that you guys will be proud of yourself, to be in VSVB regardless of past, present or future. So please do not post or write anything stupid on those pages and on this blog!

Almost done!

Alright, after some time of editing, photoshop-ing here and there, i should be almost done reviving this blog! Haha. I know the whole template is not really that awesome but at least i put in quite a lot of effort kay! Yup, so please do comment on how i can improve the banner or whatever that's on this blog luh. I'll try my best! (: Oh and i'll be setting up a VSVB group on Friendster and Facebook since so many of us have those accounts! So please join them by your own if i accidentally missed out inviting you! And for those of you with blogs/websites, kindly give me your links if you want it to be up under Links.

Revival...

Okay, since exams are over and VAS Under 16 is just round the corner, i shall try to revive this blog! Give me some time and i promise it'll be done! Still in the process of editing here and there. So if anyone happen to pass by this blog through whatever ways, do not be surprise if it's a little broken here and there! Oh and this blog will be used for everything concerning Victoria School Volleyball.

Afraid

Fear. The phantom killer of dreams. The all consuming victor in our battles; like a blitzkrieg that subjugates our moves.

Why fear the unknown? Why fear animadversion from inerudite souls who know nothing about life? Why fear the trepidation of knowing who you're playing against? Why fear when you have me?

Let me say: go ahead, fear... fear something that is not there, fear your own hallucinations, fear something that is not even there.

For if you fear, all that there is to do is to look back in self-condemnation; the nostalgic lament to return and rewrite the chronicles of time. If you fear, you do no justice to this trivial life of yours. If you fear, you're just a mortal.

And because you are my people, and because you have strong affirmation in the things I do. You have lost your rights, your will and courage, to lose; to fear. Yet in return, you are empowered to fight back in a sortie like a conflagration. Because and only because, you have nothing, nothing, to be afraid of.

Because I am not afraid. Because I am a believer.
